besides these two young there were two young eagles without rings. the other had a very dark brown plumage so i began to call it Dark Chocolate.
the other's plumage was basically dark but it had large irregular whitesh spots all over, espcially in the chest so i called it Spotted eagle.

besides these 4 youngster one adult eagle was eating there later in the afternoon.
Fireblade's picture of the adult taken at 14.00.
his tail wasn't completely white yet, but some feathers still had dark linings.
the adult was the last eagle to leave the feeding place late in the evening at 17.31 when it was fairly dark already.

here the adult's picture taken at 16.54. (i suppose it is the same bird.)fireblade1 wrote:

i'll make some sort of a summary of the eagle traffic and also other birds and animals. i'll skip the "normal" visitors, that is the ravens, hooded crows and magpies unless there is something special to say about them.
this is going in a bit unlogical order now when i begin again from the beginning but i hope nobody minds...
the camera started on Jan 6th but it was a litlle unstable during the first days (on - off - on - off again etc.) besides that it was a streaming video and people had to find new ways of taking snapshots and recording videos. that took some time and for these reasons there weren't many pictures during the first days. besides the guests of honour let us wait for themselves.

was a little busier day which started with a visit by a blond dog at 8.20.
later in the evening a goldeneye was heard flying over the ground in the darkness.
