Ravens are back, eagles are gone now.

maybee this is the last weekend with this cam on this feedingground ,there will not be any cam on this feedingground next seson Renno said last night :cry:

Eagles and ravens have been jostling for position on one of the skins - two eagles just tussled with each other - one knocked another down, I heard squeals!

One of those eagles seems very aggressive. None of them are banded.

18:38 another knockdown between two eagles - cam was in close
18:40 again! then they sit near each other for a while until one flies away

18:43 now a mangy raccoon dog approaches one of the skins, the other eagle leaves

18:45 two raccoon dogs and one fox are there now. this fox looks OK

ohhh! :shock: it seems that at least once an eagle caught a raven! that was interesting. :thumbs:

Interesting was also, that tail pulling had ceased if not stopped for quite a while during afternoon! Only towards evening I saw that behaviour again!

George, I hope that the Kotkaklubi members will be able to find a suitable new place for this camera for next season - or any season, really! It seems to provide such useful information to the ornithologists.

Maybe EEnet could provide us with some viewing figures, over the past few months. I will try to find out.
