a buzzard

and an eagle: no rings i think, and not quite adult though it has mostly white tail already. 3rd winter or 4th? the tip of the beak is still dark.

was there another eagle on the far island? :puzzled:

The eagle seems pretty adult -- I guess I would guess 4th. It seems the beaks get yellow pretty late, but I am not at all sure about that.

Fleur I was wondering about your breakfast.

I think there was an eagle on the ground on the far side of the meadow, but I am not sure if that was the eagle in the middle or an other one.

In American English a buzzard is a vulture -- we like to cause trouble.

the meat is not frozen so it is easy to tear pieces of it.

Airras: common buzzard = Buteo buteo (not a vulture like in american english)

a young eagle in the pine on the Long Island. no rings i think.
