Summaries of WTE observations at feeding ground 2012-2013

Does this eagle have a broken toe on the right foot or is the rightmost toes just turned to the back here? This eagle has pale eyes.

This eagle has dark eyes. (It's impossible to see the time stamp.)

B279 from SW Finland, 2009 (4th w) came to the feeding place at 11:20.

12:55 a young eagle (2nd winter or 3rd?) and an adult.

The tail of the same bird has still some dark colour on the tip.

One young eagle was still eating in the darkening evening.

16:10h It seems the eagles are gone now... But the ravens working hard in the carcass.

Several eagles visited the feeding place. Among them were the same two ringed eagles as on the previous day, but in opposite order.

• orange over blue V331 (2007) from SW Finland (previously seen twice in last winter: Feb 20 and 21; this season on Dec 30)
  black over blue B279 (2009) from SW Finland (previously seen 6 times in last winter: Jan 21 and 24 and Feb 17, 18, 19 and 20; this season on Dec 30)

Corvids arrived at first light as usual. The profiles look like those of ravens.

It was warm and very wet.

The ravens are very busy

10:13 First two eagles on the ground. The other appears is quite dark but its beak and the tip of its tail is white. The other is rather light-coloured butthe beak is still dark so it is younger than the other. At least the light-coloured eagle seemed to be without rings.

Blondie seems to be wet.

It looks like V331 is there again.

it's getting dark but the pair of eagles is still sitting on top of the pine tree in the Grove.
