She was off from 12:51-15:00, that is almost 2 hours and 10 minutes. But egg was alone 65 minutes (Gints has left incubation at 13:58).

It is not HOT day, but warm (~18 oC). 8-) Maybe she was swimming or catching frogs in swamp, pond or elsewhere. :headroll:

Thank you, renandeli. Super pictures. So good to see them both together, then we can see the male/female differences more easily.

More info about this eagle couple in Latvian nest. Thank you LAT_eagle for that
Female is older, and last year she was together with another eagle male, but he didn’t return this year. There was videowatching too, but I didn’t watch, so I read only abstract of it.
Grieta had successfull hatching last year and there were two babies, but older chick killed younger chick (cainism). Tree, where was the nest, broke in a storm, but project people found little chick and put it in the nest on broken tree and parents were feeding the chick futher.
Gints is younger (it can see by lighter color of feather too; when he become older, his feather will become darker).

I have been lost in somewhere today..'busy' :D

It seems to be calm there. Night birds are singing. I guess that Grieta is sleeping there on the nest!
