The annoying plant looks like a branch of an ash tree. Unless it is something wildly exotic like walnut ... :innocent:

I opened the cam at 17.12, the chick was alone at the moment, but a parent arrived in few seconds and is lying in the nest now.

Yeah, no chick - and no egg! - visible... hope the Latvian team has been watching more carefully what's going on in this nest and someone will tell us too when did this chick hatch. :help: Thank you for the pictures, Michaela!

I'm very glad to have a little spotted eagle there, wishing him good luck and a lot of frogs.

I do remember Spot very strong.., but this one little LSE chick in Latvia is as beautiful and sweet on its own right, a precious bird!
