Very beautiful names for eagles. But those are other nest, therefore not necessarily to G. No matter what words, better to one letter a husband and wife :shake: The main for easy to pronounce all nations.

Grieta wrote:Sorry Kitty but I do not know how write pronunciation :help:
But you can copy these Latvian words in Google Translator and listen pronunciation. By the way, in Latvian word endings are dependent of gender, women are ending - a, -e, man -s, -is.
For example - beautiful women is skaista sieviete, beautiful man is skaists vīrietis

Hope you can understand what I wrote :slap:
Yes, I understand. It is that way in many languages I have learned, but not in English. I don't know why ours is different.

I think Skaista is a more attractive word for a female than Skaists. I think it would be pronounced somewhat like "sky-stah" or "sky-stuh" perhaps. Google translator pronounces both gender words the same. :slap:

As for Latvian words being hard for us foreigners to pronounce! They are even hard at first for foreigners' eyes to understand! :rotf:
especially if they look like this:
mīļš
Would you care to enlighten us and tell us what it means and how it is pronounced? :puzzled:

Edit: I just saw you recommend the translator, now I know it means "love" (in this case in German "liebe") but it refuses to speak :faint:
Another edit: the English version (first checked the German) says "dear" and it speaks :rotf:
“One can measure the greatness and the moral progress of a nation by looking at how it treats its animals” (Mahatma Gandhi)
"You can judge a man's true character by the way he treats his fellow animals" (Paul McCartney)

:rotf: I couldn't even begin to imagine how to pronounce that one!

Kitty, the English google translator does - it's something like "meee"

I have put the piggies on mute now, so to hear better, I think translator does not really say the "s" in the end, but that might be the translator program, all I can hear is some kind of an "off" sound?

That is a beautiful song. The singer's voice is a bit like how Rod Stewart sounds.

The most beautiful Latvian song is this (I think).
Amateur singers come together once every four years to the song festival, thousands of singers and thousands of listeners...

I am very sleepy tonight. I woke up much earlier than usual so I could see the afternoon & sunset in Estonia, & now, trying to stay awake past the early dawn there is becoming very hard. Even though it is early for me to go to bed, I think I will do so & then enjoy photos & videos from everyone else when I come back on in a few hours. So now I am :offtobed: . Good day / Goodnight, everyone, Enjoy all the wonderful cams today. Perhaps soon we will have the seal beach cam back, too! :shake:

The male appeared in nest about a hour ago - brought a frog for a gift afterwards.

Latvia nest. LSE pair working on nest. No sound on cam today, & pictures are start & stop, a new frame every 5 seconds rather than smooth video.
