Re: Latvian LSE Nest Webcam 2012
I think they have put the sound slightly louder. If the little bird sings in the background, the microphone cracks more than usual
--according to calculations today is the chick from the egg. But it can all day
I find it exciting

As exciting as the wood warbler at Tuuli's nest, Fleur?
I notice the sound is not synchronized with the video stream today. It is way off. She calls with sound first, then beak movement. Sometimes beak movement first, then sound.
Edit-- Oh, now I saw the rest of you r post above!! WE must have been posting at the same time, so I got mixed up. Yes, the chick(s) will appear soon, I hope.

Ahhh-- she took the vole & laid it aside & then looked like she was talking to the eggs.

I saw her put a vole on the side, beside her, Fleur. There is one there now to her left (our right). Did she get another earlier?

A video of it. Macho delivered a vole, Metra set it aside by her left foot as if to store it for chicks, later. Then she talked to the eggs.

Now she's looking at the vole & then listening to the eggs, then calling into the forest. Perhaps the egg she leaves out in front of her is the one that will hatch soon.
Listening to the eggs.

Is it happening?? They are both standing there looking at the egg & Metra is calling a lot. It looks like a crack in the egg? Or just a dark streak?
