Good morning :hi:
This is the first time I see the second eaglet, poor little creature  I wonder if Metra will feed him, or if the oldest will let her do it, or maybe she will just neglect the youngest and concentrate on the oldest? Huff, this is so sad..( in human eyes)

I have to admit I am not sure I want to watch this at all, but my recollection from Spot's nest which I watched closely is that it is not at that the parents prefer the elder, or that the elder is really fighting for food. It is just that little LSEs attack moving objects -- attacking their mother's beak is how they get food. They do this in nests where there is only one chick (I think mom's stand back pretty far, and the chicks have to wriggle and snap for food). Unfortunately when there is a second younger chick, it cannot stand up to the assault.

German connection over http://deutschewildtierstiftung.de/ changed the written topic, yesterday or today (?).

It says: Brudermord im Schreiadlerhorst (english: brother murder in Lesser spotted Eagle nest)

I dont know if that means, IT already happened, or why they changed the topic.

Maybe that is why the cam is off ??? or is it just a technical problem.

At 9.16 they were fighting: not the oldest pecked the youngest but they both attacked each other, even the smallest one! When I opened the cam next time, it was off.
Upd: now the cam is back.
