Latvian WtE nest webcamera Juras-erglis 2017

10:52 onward there was a small flood of different birds, mostly blackbirds and great tits.
10:54 there was a redwing (again) on the left side of the nest as can be seen in the picture which Liz posted above. it had a light stripe above the eye and light breast with dark spots.


10:56 a robin stopped on the outer left branch.

Raimis came first - right after him Milda has arrived

19:10 both came home and worked.
19:14 Raimis flew out.


19:15 Milda went to left branch.
19:16 she flew away.


19:17 Milda brought a stick.

19:20 Raimis brought a tiny green spruce twig.
they worked together...


19:23 Raimis jumped to the right branch and began to prune it...


19:28 Milda got up to the left balcony and Raimis returned to the nest.

Raimis worked on the nest...
19:31 Raimis flew out and made a curve over the meadow. he returned with a stick.
Milda went to the left branch.
19:33 Milda flew out.


19:34 Milda returned with a stick.
19:35 she jumped to the right branch again. .. and jumped back to the nest.


19:37 Raimis flew out too a spruce on the right via the oak in the centre. it began to rain...
19:38 Milda flew out to the left. Raimis followed her from the spruce.

Good Morning Ame and All

7:02 Eagles have arrived

7:05 Raimis flew on the right branch
7:10 Milda was away and returned- I think she brought a small stick

good morning Liz and all!
before the eagles came there was a funny and strange bird's call. i think i have heard it before, too. i have no idea what bird it is. the call begin in a sort-of-familiar way but the end is quite strange.
edit: i think it was a pygmy owl.


7:02 Milda came home. Raimis followed.
edit: i think that Raimis brought a tiny-small stick.


7:05 now they are both on branches. Raimis went first to the right branch and began to tear it.
then Milda got up to the left top branch.

7:10 Milda flew away.
7:11 she is back. did she bring a tiny stick? nothing big any way.


7:12 she went to the top branch and Raimis came to the nest.

then Milda sat on the top balcony watching the sunrise and Raimis made some nest work.


7:14 Milda flew away. Raimis stayed.


7:15 Raimis jumped to the left branch. at the same time Milda flew by from the left to an oak on the right.

i need coffee.

8:28 our squirrel visit the nest.. it came from the right side thank you meag2!

7:18 Milda came back with a stick.
7:20 Raimis flew away.


7:21 Milda got up to the left branch.
7:22 she flew away.

here's a close up of the squirrel. its fur was so shiny and red.
unfortunately the light could not have been much worse than it was.


the great tit peeked in the camera.


not only once but twice! on the second time it was upside down.
i think it was a male. the black area in his tummy was so large.
