this seems to become a total no-show day: i have seen only one bird today. it was probably a jay who flew by rather far at 15:06. i got pictures of it with one pixel of something white and the other black. in another picture there was grey and white. not much to post.

otherwise there has been nothing, not even very many voices, only an occasional crow, jay of woodpecker, all far from the nest.

it's slowly getting dark...

8:07 an eagle flew to the top branch!
8:09 it's Raimis. he came down to the nest.

i think i shall not have time to make&post videos this morning...
i'll be away most of today. i'll leave my recording running when i leave after a while. i hope that it will go on running, but usually it freezes at some point. in case it fails i hope someone will be able to make recordings.

8:13 Raimis jumps on the rigth branch, and Milda droped from above. When did she came?

Ahhh! She has arrived at the same time, as Raimis jumped at the branch . She came from the right under the nest tree, like a flashlight.

8:17 Raimis is back in the nest and rearranges the branches
8:19 Milda jumps down in the nest- they work together now
8:22 Raimis went on the left branch
8:22 Milda jumps on the right branch. She is working out of sight
8:27 Milda flew away
8:35:36 She brought a small stick
8:36 Raimis flew away, Milda flew right after him

I hope that the Birthday-kid is in good shape

I once heard that in the UK the queen always signed the letter to all 100s in her kingdom. It was rare and there were very few each year.

In the 21 century, there are many of them and it became a real work...

good morning!

no eagles so far although the weather is quite nice. even the Sun is shining every now and then.

she dropped down from above. she must have been on the top for a few minutes already. i was watching for some time and didn't hear her coming.
i found her coming at 12:11.


12:23 an eagle flew by the nest tree form right to left and right after that Milda dropped down. she organized the material on the nest.


12:26 Raimis flew from the direction of the meadow and came with hay. then he went to the left branch.


12:27 they changed places: Milda went to the top branch and Raimis came down to the nest.

ok, Liz. i rebooted all my stuff and now everything works again.

poor Raimis, Milda is such a frightful mistress.
he escaped to the left branch. there he shook his head and seemed to 'say': "phhoohhh, that was a narrow escape."


12:37 Milda jumped to the right branch and about half a minute later at 12:38 she flew away.


12:39 she returned with a green twig. maybe she cut it from the right branch?
