There was a fox standing in the middle for a while.

a raven has something to complain about somewhere near but out of view. a woodpecker is tap-tap-tapping its breakfast and there have been some jays eating on the ground.

-- i've been thinking more about your question about magpies yesterday and Liis' answer. i think i've heard fieldfare voices here but it's impossible to say whether i've seen one. their colour is so much the same as the ground. a blackbird i have seen a few times and i'm sure i had heard magpies before yesterday. i also looked through my picture-album but did not find any pictures of a magpie. (i've started to try not to save no many pictures any more. the bar showing the stauts of the memory status of my hard drive is sooo long and red. yesterday i spent a lot of time cleaning the picture files and there's still a lot more to do...)

later at 19.19 a little furry friend was thinking of joining its company.

a lot of children's voices and there are some adult women too and at least one man talking. no-one in sight so far...

now they walked around the mud pit and are spreading food around.


"Äla menä sinne! siellä muda." says a man's voice many times (or something like that; i don't know about the spelling) meaning "Don't go there! it's muddy there."

School children? Teaching them young to be good for the animals. Nice!

... or a kindergarten class maybe. one of them was lacking teeth.
