Do the ravens land close to your house? Here too lives some ravens. In winter time they are more quiet, but in the spring time they can be heard very well, and seen too. I have tried to count them, but the number of them changes. Some times there are more than ten to be seen, then only 4-5. But they never ever have come close nor landed in our garden. They seem to have like meetings on the spruce tops here but never I have seen them walking on the ground here.

I have recorded some what their talking. But I can't find the recording anymore... It was a mother raven with a fledgling, it sounded very fun, the voice of the baby raven..

 Macdoum, yes! Many times a single pivture, screenshot tells more than the whole video!

Today and yesterday it has been very dark. It is like our sun had disappeared from the sky. There are lot of tits (Blue, Great and Coal tits) and and Black birds to see and also two Magpies have appeared to see, and a Jay I have also seen! But no squirrels. It's cloudy, dark, wet, some 'water snow' is falling down from morning to night.

One more murky December day, but it is warm. It is said that this December has been warmest in 50 years.

The Great tit and the squirrel seem to recognize each other :D

So cute! We're having a big storm today evening, and they say it is going to snow afterwards  I saw temperature is dropping already. Actually this weekend it's not so convenient for us. But white Christmas would be nice.
The woodpecker is working on two new holes. Wonder what that is going to be. :whistling:

I see! Woodpecker, yes, they are living their life.. :innocent: Some of 'my' WPs has begun to knock my other apple tree. Perhaps I have to put some cover around the trunk to save my tree!

No snow seen here either.. :slap: It has been raining a lot. The road to Helsinki has vanished partly under the water of the flooding river Espoon joki (Espoo is our neighbor town). That is a very strange phenomena here in Southern Finland, in winter, be cause normally it does not happen not even spring time when other rivers here, mostly in the West coast may be flooding. :puzzled:

No-one knows but there has been rumors that we will have a black Christmas.

Right now it is white, it was snowing most of the day, but when I just aired my bedroom, I felt already that it is thawing already. Tomorrow it will be all water again! I understand now why the BS (and also most of the white storks in Germany) had no hurry to leave for their winteríng!
I saw two squirrels running today. Now that the trees are finally bare, they are visible again. But none of them seem to live close by, usually we could see a couple of drays in the trees during winter, but this year there is none. They must have found a better place, or one more quiet, they were working in the garden for a very long time with cars coming and going and men shouting around. The nuts are ready ... still!

The next visitor. He/she was there for 30 minutes. I took several videos of this one that seems to me to be a quite young squirrel:

Nappu is so cute here :loveshower: it looks as if she is begging you to send out her playmate, is it safe soon??
The afternoon view from your kitchen window had beautiful colours today Olga, and the Squirrels is very cute, as always. With the mild weather and little snow, the birds and animals have had an easier winter so far..

Hi Lussi  Oh, yes, playing with both dogs is very safe again! It was a bit troublesome for three weeks (for Nanu!, poor of him), of course, but the heat time od Nappu is over now.

So, it's soon Christmas. For the moment, in the evening on the 23rd all snow we got is melted away! It's raining.. :slap: But anyway, the Chrismas lights here and there in the windows and in the gardens of people, look very nice in the darknes.

It seems to be the same same squirrel who comes to eat each morning about 9:00. She is not always alone like yesterday and today.
