i think there were indeed two voices singing to each other. -- i've been thinking that it would be strange if no eagles at all would show up here. all other springs there have been others besides L &S.

Hooray!! Perhaps when daylight comes, the WTEs will come to the nest, too. They sounded great! Thank goodness you were watching at the time, Maertha.
Just now when I checked, I can see a faint impression of the snow in the center of the nest, I hear a dog far off barking, & I hear raccoon dogs growling, screaming & yelling somewhere on the forest floor.
