 Their baby ravens will be wearing fur overcoats!

I hear lots of rain at the cam tonight, & right now there are RDs whining & growling, sometimes screaming at each other.

I hear somebody moving about.

Maybe some of the early noise was rain, it is definitely raining more steadily now.

I saw a raccoon dog walk by, but I couldn't get a recording of it.

There may not be anymore new food, but the pieces of hide still attract the fur-gatherers. :D

Ravens are working and collecting in the rain. The are definitely working on the fur, but they also seem to be checking the melting snow for whatever they might find.

Ravens continue to gather hair from the old boar hides. There also may still be some food available at the old carcass half buried in a snow bank under the trees on the right side.

A pond of rain & melt water is beginning to form at the back toward the Tall Tree. The rain has some big wet snowflakes mixed in with it.

I love listening to the gwarks of the ravens (I am not so fond of the sound of rain fall).

I am off for sleep now. The rain is at every cam & the sound is lulling me into drowsiness. So Goodnight / Good day, everyone. Enjoy the cams, we can see spring is coming!

There is still food to be found in the old carcass that was buried in a snowbank.

good night Alice & Kitty!
and hello others! :hi:

the camera seems to be in the "resting" position looking over the whole meadow. it's quiet and misty and looks really wet. like Kitty wrote there seems to be a lake forming in the back. i think that if the camera stayed here this would make a suitable place for mallards and ducks ... and cows.

thank you for your kindest thanks&praises.

Oh my god, this poor RD, is really in a very bad state. Even my very sick cat looks healthy compared with this poor animal!
