How wonderful to see black storks again. I am not as familiar with Tiit, but he a magnificent black stork. Can't wait for the season to begin.

Although we cannot see wild boars anymore, I have a little substitute. Local time at the black stork nest was 12 :20 am, & although it was pitch black, I could clearly hear a herd of boars foraging on the forest floor.

this is not April fool's day: there's a white dusting of snow over everything except our brave stork!
now he really needs the plumes of the neck to drown his beak in for warmth.

Hi, Storkaholics
Only for patient persons - nearly 21-minute video of a busy yesterday morning.
In less than an hour the male brought 14 sticks and arranged them in the nest (I do not know how many he brought afterwards, because I had to turn off the computer and go out). The original movie took almost an hour, but I decreased the longer fragments.
