it's staying on the back branch, whoever it may be....
some streches from earlier, first the right wing.
... and then the tail and the left wing.

the buzzard left at 13.47. since then there have been buzzard voices calling from the forest....
at 13.52 one landed on the nest. the other is still calling in the forest. this one is making bed... and calls a little...
the sun has come out.

they are busy now when the weather gor better..
one has stayed at the nest and another brought a twig at 14.02. -before the second came the first buzzard took a fresh pine twig to the right-branch and then dropped it! it's undoing what the other is trying to do.
and i've got no idea who is who!

suddenly both were in the nest at 14.22, calling loudly and looking up and around...
then one left and flew around calling in the air. the remaining bird replied from the nest. this went on for quite some time... until the second left, too, at 14.25.
then they called to each other in the air. after a while one landed in the nest and the calling continued.. finally the second left, too, at 14.27

at about 14.50 they began to meow in the air... finally they came to the nest one by one.
they went on meowing and kaa'ing in the nest for some time... then one left, soon followed by the other.
are they on wedding flights?

one came to the nest at 15.23, made a little something, kaa'ed a little, climbed to the back branch, stays there. it's the same pattern most of the times.
was this an elegant landing?
i had a wrong video here first. sorry!

the voice of the other began to come from the sky... it landed at 15.33.
they talked a lot. the latter in the nest arranged twigs, and then they talked more.
finally the one on the branch took off at 15.36. the other followed at 15.37.
btw: the cock at the farm has been out today and has cawed there...

April 25th
good morning!
it's a beautiful sunny morning with a lot of birdsong as usual. a chiffchaff is singing near now. no buzzards so far.
yes macdoum, i wish they'd lay the eggs and stop fussing around.
i've been thinking that shouldn't they decide yet? how long do they court? - or maybe one of them is too young, like Loupe wrote that the other looks young. then maybe they just "play home", but are unmature to produce eggs.
surely the female must lay eggs when they are ready and can't withold them till it's sunny or Sunday?
btw: i was up for a while in the small hours and had a :peek: here. it was still dark but birds were singing already. here's a sample. a songthrush is closest and loudest, there's a snipe baa'ing in the air and another ticking on a pole somewhere. a woodcock passes by and says gnrr - gnrr- gnrr as it flies by, and near the end a bittern "blows in a bottle".
