The camera seems to be completely dark but the forest is absolutely full of bird song.

When it was light enough to see -- the nest was empty.

I think we need a name for Tuuli's new husband. How do you people feel about Bubo's suggestions? Or is it Mr. Blonde?

I miss Remo, and I am bit sad that he did not return, he was such a cute chap and such a good husband and dad! Hope he just decided to go somewhere else, the trip to and from Africa is such a dangerous one!

They are both on the nest today and they are very busy !!!!

Bubo, have you found a fitting Estonian name that has something to do with "light hair" or so?

I thought about that he is Tuulis second partner (as far as we know) and tried google translator with "the Second" and GT says in Estonian "Teist".
In German it means "der Zweite" and also gives out "Teist" ...

I doubt if we can believe GT - it says funny things sometimes

Frog - the other day, when Mr. Blonde left that frog, it was still alive, watching the Pontu pictures one can see that it crawled around for a bit, but unfortunately the end, or whatever happened to the frog is not on Pontu. Did Tuuli come and eat it, or did the frog the big leap?

That behaviour where the two go up and down and look, I have seen already a couple of times since Mr Blonde turned up. I guess it belongs to some ritual as well. I wish we could see their display flight!

to me also it looks like "bonding rituals", to empower their confidence to each other
