Latvian LSE Nest Webcam 2012

Post by Jo UK »

Here is another LSE nest camera. We have seen this in previous years. Dr. Ugis Bergmanis in Latvia is the project leader here.

Maybe Grieta can give us information, as she has done in the past?

Wow, what long legs! I hope we will see them soon, today it was all quiet when I looked. But the season has just begun!
Thanks for the link Grieta!

This cam keeps on crashing today, but I think it is a leaf caught in the twigs.

:hi: I think it`s a cone, but it`s difficult to see properly. The strange noise began yesterday, and has been there since.

The noise I did not even hear because the cam keeps on stalling :bash:

It is a cone

Cam Stream worked all day without problems, possibly that needs to be closed and opened if it frozen.
Dr.Ugis Bergmanis today survey nest areas, the female is near at nest and called the male. Ugis think that the 12 April at the nest stayed migrant male, the real "husband" not yet flown.

Thank you for the information Grieta, I think I had too many cams open for the afternoon. I have not yet seen a LSE there! Hope they will decide to come and use the nest!

I still have not seen any LSE on that nest although I am keeping this cam open as well. :puzzled: Maybe they are very quiet?

A small visitor I met this morning - a blue tit. You are very welcome, too - little bird
Image :hi:

I am taking lessons (by myself) with this many cams just now. Have printed pics of every nest, wrote the kind of bird and the link to it. So one day I will be perfect with it  .

We changed the nest stream. Now we can see last year's LSE - Metra and Macho nest.
Address has not changed.
We hope that this year the couple will be successful

Last year's hero Macho today 20.18

Thanks for the information, Grieta, I saw that somebody worked on the cam yesterday evening and also today, when I peeked in from work. It'll be nice to see Macho and Metra again - hopefully, and hopefully they will be more successful this time! Good luck!
