I still don't get the relationship here! I had thought Lady without ring is the lady of the heart? Now Madis makes those protective flapping when she is there, even brought a fish now and eats it himself with the female next to him!

He's coming, every few minutes, "out of the blue" (for us on the other side of the camera lense) and lands right on her!macdoum wrote:Mating now. Successful ? Maybe.

19:40 The dark Lady No Rings was standing on the right, looking out over the territory.,
The Male arrived and she turned around - her crop looks full so she must have eaten recently
He did a little nest sculpting while she chirped at him.
Then, I thought he was going to try to mate, but he jumped over her and flew away.
She chirped for a couple of minutes and flew away at 19:46
19:48 Male returns with a long branch!

19:49 Dark Lady returns, with a branch?
Male assumes his -"I am a nice guy and will do your bidding" pose

She moves a branch, he flies off.
She preens, look over the left side of the nest.

Maybe that was actually another osprey? Or maybe she refused the gift?Felis silvestris wrote:I still don't get the relationship here! I had thought Lady without ring is the lady of the heart? Also, I have a favor to ask of everyone - if possible, could you post the Estonian nest time with your pictures or comments about the nest? I am 7 hours earlier, which is confusing enough, but I would appreciate the help, so I can look through Pontu. Thank You!

Nancy I am going to admit I have real trouble getting the time on this cam.
Because of capturing images with screen saver and editing them in Gimp, the time I save them has no relationship with the event time. I always save the time stamp -- but I often cannot read it.

Alice! I have the same problem - I can't read the time stamp on my images and usually not on the others posted here - but some indication of the Estonian hour and/or minute would be a big help. I am always adding 7 hours to my time, then subtracting 12 from the 24-hour time - and getting thoroughly confused when I try to figure out your USA west coast time , etc.!
If the ospreys would just do something "different" it would help.
