Alice, I think different computers just render colors differently. I know you can sometimes change color settings on a monitor, but I don't know if that also changes how the hard drive "sees" colors. You may have to ask someone. I just checked & my monitor is set at "cool" (9700k) rather than "standard" or "warm." But I don't know if similar settings are available to you or if they would even look similar.alice44 wrote:I have to figure out why mine is so much less pink

Another beautiful morning.
Lots of squawking.
edit-- now there is something more melodious
(Kitty, where do you see those settings? I am thinking my issue might be Gom settings. How do I watch this cam with VLC so I can compare it. Anyhow, my golden glows are pretty too, I just have pink orange envy )

I have some buttons on my monitor case that set resolution & display parameters for the monitor. You can also make some adjustments if you click on "display" or "personalize" (Windows XP, Vista, & Win7). Right click anywhere on your screen or go to control panel. It depends on what kind of computer & Windows version you have. I don't know about Apple computers. And I know nothing about Gom. As for VLC, I don't use it anymore, but I think you can just copy the URL for the direct stream of the cam & paste it into VLC.alice44 wrote:(Kitty, where do you see those settings? Maybe someone else knows more about it.

Hello/Good morning to all
I opened the Media Player at 20 minutes past midnight - what a great view
Then it became rapidly darker.

Alice, I use the Screencast-o-matic web site (http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/). I like it because I don't have to download & install one more program, it's free, & after a short learning time, I found it very easy to use. It will upload directly to Y-tube if I want, or save to its own site, or save to my computer & I can then upload later to Y-tube, Facebook, Google+, or anywhere else. It takes only a few seconds to load up & get ready to record & I usually have it at the ready when I first log on here. I just have to select whatever size screen I want & click the red button. Voila. I learned about the site from Venegor, who also uses it.alice44 wrote: How do you do captures from this cam?

Beautiful pictures, video and gif from last night and today everybody
Alice, you managed to capture a Swallow on your picture, great:)
I practice on that too, but this is the closest I have managed so far...
- at least I think it is a Swallow, it can also be a Common Swift..(Apus Apus)

22:30 - It's windy tonight, the sea is more "wavy" It's also some kind of "working" noise close to the cam.
Good night

The skies in Estonia just fascinate me. As spring moves toward summer, the night is lighter & lighter until the time of "white nights" around the solstice time. I would not be able to sleep with all that light! I would need heavy dark curtains at the windows.
( I don't know why there is no sound on the video. . .)

I think the couple with the two dogs is on the beach. Perhaps they are vacationing at this beach.
