9.52 Madis brought a nice size fish and left again after a minut - big enough for a proper feeding. Piret began feeding, but stands mostly in front of the chicks.
Piret eats much during feeding, she seemed hungry. 10.10 the chicks seemed satisfied but after some minuts chick 1 turned back and asked for more, so did one of the other, so she is still eating and feeding now at 10.19.

12. 45 (about)

An intruder must be around, Piret is calling with a sharp sound.

Edit: sounds like another female, same sharp short calls.

Hello everyone :gathering:

As I turned the cam on this morning I at 12.19 I thought I'll manage to watch the feeding process, because our osprey stand on the fish
Image

Later mother became so worried and stopped holding the fish, so the chicks tried to get something themselves :chick:
Image

Danger?
Image

She is still very worried and observes the sky

:hi: Yes, there seems to be an unwelcome visitor near the nest today.

11:24 Intruder alert? Piret “talked” to him/her in a very aggressive way, then she took off

14.16 Madis brings fish, still with head. He left after a minut. Piret had then started a feeding - with her back to cam. - but with some fish that already was in nest, because the fish Madis brought still lies untouched in nest

14.28 after feeding - the fish Madis brought is still untouched

Pinfeathers are protruding through the down, specially visable on the wings of the oldest (on the left of the nest)

Maybe, we can see differences of male and female in the 2 oldest ones.

Number 2 has much darker head and throat.
Number 1 has a golden head on the backside and more light on the head and throat.

Image

Even though they still have to moult after 1 year before one can be absolutely sure, there are important differences.

:puzzled: Must have seen that wrong! Number 1 picked up number 3 as if it were a stick, by the neck!

Number 3 was under the breast of number 1, who was biting in a stick, so IF I saw it right, it must have been by accident

Edit: MACKO your help is needed again, please!
