I just checked on Stephi at 7:06 a.m. nest time. Stephi is tucked under Tuuli and still breathing hard. I can still hear her loud breathing. The 2 moles are still uneaten. I hope a vet can make an assessment today.

About 7:07am-- Stephi has his/her head stuck underneath Tuuli & is snoring loudly.

But now Tuuli is feeding Stephi one of the moles (those are so hard to get open!) & Stephi shows a hearty appetite.

Stephi ate very greedily -- taking little bites and then pieces too big to swallow. I do not think there is a problem with her appetite.

And the blasted JWplayer played me up and now I am once again without sound. It has been going black on me often when I do something else and occasionally just going soundless. The going black I blame on it, but I am less sure about the soundless periods, but they both make me cranky.

Kitty you are still up. (I was napping on the sofa.)

@ Alice-- Yes, I am still up, but not for long. I am sleepy & intended to go to bed by now, but I got interested in reading some of the forums to catch up on the "nest news." I am uploading a video, then it will be off to bed with me.

Edit: Here is the video of Tuuli feeding Stephi. During this time, Stephi seemed quite vigorous in spite of his/her strange breathing.

Now I am off to bed. Enjoy all the cams to day, everyone. Goodnight/Good day to all of you, I hope each has a pleasant day. I am :offtobed:.

Well the large crop is good, but I do not think there is much that can be done about her breathing.

Honestly though I am wondering if some of the odd breathing sounds might be not eagle sounds. I am just not sure. But we can definitely see her big breaths.

Good morning :hi:
08:27 - Has Remo delivered a vole for Stephi? She is trying to eat it, and she is calling. I think I hear Tuuli (?) calling from the forest..

Stephi is still breathing heavy and loud, but it is very nice to see that she has her appetite  She is also cleaning her feathers, so she is activ. That must be a good thing??

It is only an hour since she ate a whole mole. That is a very big meal.

Are Stephi's talons resting on another vole?

Tuuli arrived home with a little stick.

It seems to me that Stephi does more talking -- calling her mum when she is out and the like -- than Tormi did. Is that just my imagination?

I saw when I opened the cam that the mouse wast charged.
Stephi snatched the mouse from the beak and placed it between his legs.
He breathes a bit difficult, I believe
