Re: ESTLAT Osprey Nest Webcam Discussion 2012
Nori quarrels and is looking more often at Uno..maybe she tries an intruderalarm trick soon haha and steal Unos fish..
Uno is aware and moves so they stands more in front of eachother,,Smart Uno ;)

6:47 I think Uno is up on the cam support. Elo starts yelling and posturing as though a fish is coming ... but it is Nori arriving from the left- she walks onto the nest (no fish).
Elo scolds her -- "where is my fish?"
6:53 Elo leaves the nest but returns in less than a minute.
6:54 Elo leaves again - she dives off the far side of the nest.
6:56 Feathers dipping down from the cam confirm that one osprey (Uno) is up there.

7:00 Nori is looking intently over the side of the nest - I wonder what she is watching? every so often she makes an odd-sounding call - more like a nasal "kak" than a cheeppp.
7:07 Nori fleaps across the nest, calls, and flies off
7:14 Elo lands on the nest - looking and sounding a bit annoyed.
7:16 She goes up to the cam support with Uno (she keeps calling)
7:26 Quiet .... then another call from the cam osprey
... I am off (it is half past midnight here )

Nest is vacant right now, but I can hear an osprey nearby.

Nori seems very upset about something, maybe wants a lot more fish.

There has been a lot of calling. One osprey seems to be on the cam, or there abouts but his calls are being responded to from somewhere off in the distance.
Calling calling calling back and forth.

I think I saw her fly around at the edge of the distant trees and then somebody landed above so I wondered.
They are so skillful at their take offs -- jumping over siblings and zooming up or down -- compared to just a couple days ago.

Madis incoming but didn't deliver?
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
