i think i heard the whistle of the wings of a goldeneye at 18:21 (and a little earlier too, but no recording of that)...... the Tube can't process the "video", maybe because there's only sound..
i'll try if i can make a link to the recording in Mejuba: http://www.mejuba.com/albums/anmaelo/15 ... how/75x100
(it's not processed yet at 18:59)
good night!
edit on the next morning: the above recording still doesn't work. maybe it is not an eligible video but i don't know how to convert it into audio only.
i was hoping that i could give alice a sample of goldeneye's wing sounds...
and i see that the was a confusion about the Goldeneye but that was resolved by others. thank you!

Oh, a Kvinand! I have a translater for bird names, but I must have written the name wrong, because I didn´t get any hits.
Now I did, Kvinand - Bucephala clangula = Common Goldeneye. I have seen them several times too, both in the small forest lakes, and in the fjord
Thank you, Felis
Recently, we have been thinking about animated gifs.
There are things we need to consider when making them, and choosing which pics to put together to make a gif.
The reasons we don't have animated avatars and signatures also need to be considered when we make gifs.
Many people suffer from what we call photo-sensitive conditions - commonly, migraine, epilepsy etc, but there are other conditions which make bright lights, bright colours and flashing, blinking images visually uncomfortable. If there is a frequent fast change from dark to light, sky to trees,, it can be unpleasant to view.
Most of our cameras are fixed and show the same background constantly. Really, it is only with the Eagles Feeding Ground camera that we need to be careful about the images which are shown as gifs. I haven't seen any "difficult to view" gifs on this forum in recent days, but as it has been mentioned by some members, we thought we should make members aware of the problems caused by some animated gifs.
Gifs can give more information that a still image and most of us enjoy them, and enjoy making them. I hear that there are some forums which ban them, completely! We don't want to do that, either.
Did look for some info but couldn't find it...
Is the feeding place located in an area closed to public or is it just an area in a forest where people are allowed to be?
