Thank you, airras. I tried to post the same but Photobucket would not resize the pic, so I deleted it!
Wonderful colours.

airras, yes, I think you are correct. Male has darker legs (on this nest) but we can't see the beak. That would be my guess, too. Female looks smaller and has a slimmer beak. In your picture, she is more distant from the camera so that will alter apparent size.
Tiit's beak seems to have a gap between upper and lower parts, along the mid-length.
I still think Tiit is on the left of the pic.

Yes, the male beak seems to have more depth - from top to bottom. Tiina's beak look slim, by comparison.
It does help to see them both together!

In previous years, I remember reading that, at this time of year, the male's legs, beak and eye patches are a brighter red. Someone should tell Tiit about that. He looks darker this year.

The difference of their beaks:

Here Tiit's beak is a bit in motion, but the difference to Tiina's beak can be seen quite well..

I also found today that Tiits's legs are quite thin and rather dark while Tiina's are a bit thicker and more on the pinkish red side.

I have a picture from today - Tiina is on the left and Tiit on the right:

How can this be, so soon?
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
