7:20 those plants are not looking good these days - they must miss the osprey fertilization
Plants grow on very small pieces of soil between the sticks and branches. Ospreys moving sticks and walking over plants could have destroy the roots of the plants or break the main branch of a plant.

It is so nice to see them together, in spite they are not a breeding pair this season

It seems a bit odd that all of a sudden, they are coming back so often. It makes me wonder if Piret isn't starting to feel the urge to start her migration back to Africa and when she does go, I hope and pray she has a safe travel there and back home again, next year.

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,

DITTO! Here's a pic I've been saving of her from last year that I took before she recieved her backpack. It was a lucky shot and my first of any nests and still my PC's desktop pic. I thought it was time to finally share it for her fans. Enjoy!

Good to see Piret and Madis again. He looked as if he was spreading his wings against a threat - that's exactly what eaglet Kai did this morning when Joosep came to ring her. Is that why they were on the nest, to protect it from intruders?

Lynda :hi:

At Ospreys these a bit spread and a bit hanging low wings, together with showing the back to the other bird, is known more as a subduing gesture.
