Till now, have not seen that little one get only one piece of food

He just received a few bites from some nestover Lauma found closer to him. Don't worry, Lauma knows what she is doing and there is enough fish for all three of them.

Look, Lauma dragged the fish closer to #3 and he gets a good feeding now:




12:25 - Perkons lands on the nest and takes off again after 15 seconds. He probably came to check if the feeding was over already so he could take the fish to have lunch himself, but this wasn't the case yet.

12:27 - feeding is over and all got their fair share. A foodcoma awaits the little ones.

12:29 - Lauma flies off and returns at 12:30

... Don't worry, Lauma knows what she is doing and there is enough fish for all three of them.

Junior seems to rely on Lauma and doesn't get frustrated or aggressive even if he has to wait for his turn - a wise little ospret! He already got sufficiently, only Average was fed in the end.

12:41 - Perkons on the nest again, looking at the fish, but Lauma stands on it, so it won't be easy for him to pick it up and fly off:




Perkons chirped softly a few times and tried gently to pick up the fish, but Lauma stayed on top of it and didn't allow him to take it away from the nest.

Pērkons managed finally to get the fish from under Lauma and took off with it. There is still plenty to eat of it, hopefully he returns with the tail to the nest.

Lauma has picked up at least two what looks like smaller sticks from the nest bowl - maybe they could have hurt osprets ...
