this fellow looks very much like Durberta's sibling from last year. i guess that he has been wading in the same mud puddle as the raven a few days ago.

i'm downloading the Pontu file and shall make clips later. i already gave up hope of the camera waking up today.

I also heard him twice. A few minutes before that I heard him sigh: "oh", or something like that. You probably too.

i didn't get any better pictures of tonight's visitor than the Pontu picture. there the right ring really seemed to be blue over black (Latvia) and the left seemed to be black with code that could well be K096 which was Durberta's sibling (if i remember right the code; i didn't check)
he was really funny (he seems to be slimmer than Durberta so i think of him :whistling: ): he brought a small piece of branch (training nest building?).
Image

then he made some gardening... 8-)

i think that the "man" saying "oh! ... Oh! ..." a few times had to be an elk (or a deer, maybe not in distress this time  )
i don't have any reason to believe that Janis or brachux (or any other reasonable man!) would be in the forest tonight (yet) and they'll probably go there in the daytime anyway.

good night!
