But we tagged this year 7 storks, two juveniles and five adults (of these probably 3 females).
 Thank you, Urmas, for the information. We may begin to count the days to the next season 2010!

It is much nicer than the plastic, isn't it. A bit unused but the two osprey nests here in town were used (I think) and they both have grass growing in them.

That nettle http://pontu.eenet.ee/kotkas/kurg/2009-08-01-06-09.jpg is impressive! Quick growth too - if it is from seed.
What chances for its survival and revival next year, do you think?

I think the chance of survival is 90%, although hardly it is from seed.

Agree about not looking like being from seed.
But then - how? If Padis dragged a root along, then from where, how, why?
The moss doesn't look like nettle-growing ground stuff. He might have carried it from the edge of some pond, but we never saw nest material of that kind. :puzzled:

Padis may have brought little grass and nettle stalks together with moss and they grew in the nest.

Bociany, here is a countdown timer, to count the days until 1 April, 2010.
We could choose any other date. Any ideas, anyone?

Jo UK, I thinkt the 1st April is a fine day to wait for. There is some tradition feeling on that date... It's the day we know that Donna has returned for one time in the past. Let's trust in that date  Storkaholics never loose hope.

Sorry to disagree :whistling:
It must be before the 1st of April... Easter is on the 4th and they will not have time to prepare the eggs :shake:
I vote on March 28th

Just a question since the stork cam is offline and doesn´t seem to be needed at the nest:
Is LK (or whoever) planning to put it elsewhere soon? If not - why not to put it on the Boar´s feeding ground? :peek:
