17:49 - Kati is preening, the storklet is searching in the nest material, and the egg is talking.

Something was moving in the hole, it seemed like a piece disappeared from it, and it got bigger.

Edit: is it Karl in the nest?
Edit2: It's Kati, isn't it?

Thank you so much for all your pictures and videos of the new chick. I missed the live hatching but thanks to all of you I can watch it.

Nice to see the chick looking so lively. The second chick should be out soon! :shake:

Wow, I actually saw the second chick hatch!!! That has not happened for a long time for me.

Thank you Liz for your video.

Can someone tell me please....is that a cuckoo I can here in the background? He/she sounds like one.. what a lovely call/song.

Many thanks for your pictures and reports. This is the first time I have been able to visit here. today.
Isn't it marvellous that this very young chick, not yet one day old, knows how to pick up a fish and eat it. Thinking of the WTE young at that age, such a difference between species. :headroll:

I have taken a lot of pictures of the cuties. Difficult to decide, which I post not. 8-)
Here Karl rolled the eggs; the first born he has also rolled a little bit, together with the eggs.
20:31 Those little wings ... :D
