Where is Nord? I can hear only voice from the bottom, lower branches. Nothing from left... did he fall down too?
Oh no, he is here on the left basement

ghost ink, I can say what I have observed over some years of webcam viewing.
There have been occasions when a juvenile from a previous year visits his "birth nest" and is sometimes ignored until he leaves, or, more often, chased away by the adults.
Other occasions are opportunistic visits by another eagle hoping to steal food.
Does anyone have further information?

There was a *thud* sound at 22:55:02 after which a bird flies from bottom right upwards. Who was that?

Hello Pirjo and BossePirjo & Bosse wrote:Dear friends, nature- and birdlovers,
the last months have been overwhelming...!
A new world - the world of the White tailed eagle (in Swedish Havsörn = See eagle = See adler (D)) has been opened to us.
Every possible minute we have been watching the live "show" - (Swedish state-TV reported about the live stream in mid-April) with all its ups, and more recently, the downs..:-(
Suddenly we were able to have a look into a new world...
Though, it took some weeks before we discovered the Forum, and since then we have been reading it each and every day, but this is our first posting.
Since we don´t know how much more there will be to see, after the nest-disintegration and the possible loss of Rahu, we´ll take the opportunity to thank everybody who made it possible: Renno Nellis and Eagle-Urmas Sellis, Omar Neiland & Triin, Mutikluti, Ame Ader, Jo UK and translator Liis- and not to forget ETS NORD godfather of the projekt (probably we´ve forgot someone). ...
Now we visitors have an obligation (surely many of you already did..) and that is to give a financial support to Looduskalender, for securing more wonderful and real "adventures" in the future. See link:
http://www.looduskalender.ee/n/en/node/15
We are looking forward to what will happen next - a little calmer now when Rahu is heard...
P&B
If there would be possibility to add my signature under your mail, I would do it without any doubt.
You have expressed my thoughts and described a lot of what I do experience in the last weeks.
Welcome!

Hello Dogmami,Dogmami wrote:How one can find the wanted time?
Sorry for answering this late, because the video feed has been stopped for the night hours and it is not possible to move in it to a different time.
When the feed starts again (probably between 3 and 4 o’clock in the morning) you can scroll the video backwards to the wanted time, but only 4 hours back from the present time shown on the video.
If you are using a computer with a mouse, move the mouse pointer on the video picture. A red line appears near the bottom of the picture. Move the mouse pointer on the red line and a time difference counter appears above the pointer. Note the present time in the left lower corner of the video and the time to which you want to jump. Let’s say the time is now 07:20:00 and you want to go to the point 05:30:00. You will count the time difference, which is 1:50:00. Now move the mouse pointer on the red line so, that the difference counter shows -1:50:00 and click the left mouse button. The video will start running from time stamp 05:30:00.

It (=*thud* sound) was that same bird. It's wings hit the branches or bushes when it started from outside of the cam view. You can hear it's wing beats until it is first time visible on the bottom of the cam view. It was some middle sized bird (not an eagle). Some expert probably is able to identify it because there were some visible characteristics (at least white areas on the wings).Makepeace wrote:There was a *thud* sound at 22:55:02 after which a bird flies from bottom right upwards. Members Pirjo & Bosse and RNS have posted about donations so now is a good time for us all to think about showing our appreciation of Looduskalender and Kotkaklubi, the Eagle club.
In the About Us section of this forum we can find descriptions of their work, and details of how to donate to either or both, not forgetting the work of Veterinary specialist, Dr, Madis Leivits.
viewforum.php?f=63
This forum displays a typically European reticence on the subject of asking for money but we have to recognise that not much can be achieved without adequate funding. Volunteer workers do most of the hard work but cameras, equipment, etc, are not free, so if you are feeling generous, please help if you can.
Thank you

I started watching "looduskamera" with my pupils (12-13years) at the beginning of May. We saw little birds grow and saw also the ringing of eaglets. We were so worried when the eagleparents didn't feed the eaglets after ringing.
And then happened the tragedy in black storke nest. Fortunately we had just started our summervacation and didn' t see that at school. It was so cruel.
Next tragedy was at the osprey nest when babybird fell out of the nest during the storm. At the same time the eaglenest fell apart....and our precious Rahu dissapeared for some time.
This has been so exciting journey and I'll continue watching birdlife with my pupils next season. They enjoyed it so much and draw pictures and wrote stories about "little baby eaglets' life".
Thank you all who have made this possible!

Lintinki, welcome to the forum.
What encouraging news you have. You have nurtured in those children an interest in and care about wildlife. These cameras really do help us to understand the natural world.

Thanks. That's what I was wondering about in a nutshell.

Good morning everyone!
Nord constantly occupies unfortunate position. Today he showed good activity and moved the branches above. I think that little eagle has not received food. It quickly became quiet.
