Anna is trying to force Taibu to fly. But I think that Taibu needs some more time.
Hope she'll be fed soon.

i made a Pontu clip of this.
4:29 Anna brought a fish and ate. maybe she fed one of the eaglets, too. one was on the lower level and it was still there when Anna flew away at 4:41. i can see two eaglets moving in the nest then (i think).
it's very difficult to see because the ligth was bad then (and now i have sun shining in my eyes when i try to make these clips)

Okey, I thought that all three chicks were at that time in the nest

Right - we have to use our imagination more than our eyes..
RNS - you described it so well yesterday: "Entertainment - with a purpose" So right, so right!
Not "the slime boozing out from your TV-set.." (Frank Zappa)
Nature is often cruel and ruthless, but always with a purpose (hard to see sometimes though...).
But no way near the cruelty of humans..!

He have flown for sure. He is not a little baby so he did not fall on the ground as a potatoes bag. :innocent:
Even if he slipped from the branch, it was fledging, his first flight.

When eaglets in this age accidentally fall out the nest, it is always counted as that they simply fledged, becoming fledglings means they "left their nest for the first time"

Good morning!

I did a video about the flight of Rahu, today was the first flight of Nord. I'm happy and at the same time a little bit sad... During three days our youngest eaglet, Taibu, will leave us also... Sometimes they will visit the nest tree but it's not necessary anymore, here are only remains of this nest...On other places is maybe better to get food. Seems what will be, but it's important day for this great eagle family and for us also.

Hello!

Many thanks for this glorious experience. Living by a river in northern Sweden I do see WTE several times a week during wintertime but to be able to follow this family so close has been a real pleasure and also a learning experience.
I've attended this forum several times daily since Anna and Uko incubated their three eggs and been as engaged as all of you.
With a little foundation work next winter there should be good hope for the nest being used again?

Best wishes!

Aake

I thought that was Rahu... Nord left early in the morning. Ok, getting confused...

Will the Eagle men re-build this nest?
I know the adults may not use it but will a new nest be put in place?

Thanks for the vid :loveshower: It sure has been a joy to follow their wonderful and exciting life. Even though it is feels sad to see them flying away, mostly we can only be happy and pleased to know they are all fine. Anna and Uku have done so hard work and the result is awesome.

Thank you Mutikluti i saw this to but wasn't this Rahu? Haven't North already leave this time, i hear two eaglets when this eaglet fly down. Or did Rahu leave earlier then? In this moment in your video is there only Taibu there on the nest tree left, what i read before one of the eaglets left earlier and that was North!? And yes this is happy if they all leave that means that they have take a big step in theire lives, and yes i agree thats sad to its bittersweet, because after then we can't following them anymore and don't know whats happening to them, sweet babys <3

I mean, that he didn't fly like Rahu just did. Sorry about wrong expression :slap:

I think the falling eagle at 4:32 is Taibu. I tried long time to see the ring in the morning, but did'n see other than Rahu's ring (who is in the middle branch). Little after Rahu jumps to the left branch and Taibu climbs up to the middle branch.

Or did they both drop to lower level together? And Taibu was the one who didn't fell down totally?
