conspiracy ????????????????

What are you thinking??? I really don't understand....
And - once again - no one has accused you or any other admin for lieing, certainly NOT!!
I am sure that you give us the info that you have got from above.
Don't you see - this is not about or against YOU!

So sad, so sad.....

Caysa, when you use words such as secret, hidden, someone hiding reasons, etc, what else are we to think?
Words have power. Use them carefully.

No-one has said there are personal attacks here (or they would have been deleted)
but the atmosphere generated by some posts is unwelcome.

I really get the feeling that my (and Ricky's) words are beeing twisted.
We DO NOT mean any harm, quite opposite.
Do you mean that I should not mention that I have been to the boar feeding grounds and seen what is going on there and how things are beeing done? I really honestly thought it would be of interest to know what it is like there...
But for some reason all went wrong - I am accused of conspiracy

I don't see that your words have been twisted., but when we can read on your LLL forum that the opinion of LKF there is so poor, we can't help feeling a little annoyed.
Look, I copy and paste something posted by Ricky
"The best thing concerning LK is the webcams itself. The forum, the rules, the lies and Mr. LK are (vomit emo)"
Then there are comments about Juta. They are not welcome here. We require a sociable atmosphere.

Enough now. This shall stop,

What is said on LLL is just a result of your reaction here.
And Juta has been extremely rude, not acting sociable at all.

LLL is not part of LKF - we are not under your rules there, thankfully. :gathering:

Dear People,
please, do not make our (ok, at least my) fully voluntary efforts on Estonian wild boar webcam unpleasant! Maybe the words I use, are not exact, what I mean, but if my efforts will make troubles to somebody - I will stop participating in this. Here is no need to gather negative emotions.
Please learn, I do my best and forward the information what I have. I personally knew up today (being not a hunter), that boars are feed only by need, i.e. by frozen surface... Can't see any other purpose to feed them additionally. Even that last is under question.
Installing of camera system needs at least a day of work of team, but all the included people are working fulltime and usually even more somewhere else - there is simply very difficult to find suitable time for all necessary players... And I prefere real winter with snow or even with snowman, to show on background.
Constructive critics is always welcom and please try to be more tolerant to each other - all we are the personalities (though, having ability to positive thinking)...
I do not prepose that all you think exactly the same way, also in our team all the people think differently - and that's natural.

Urmas, thank you for the very clear, straight-forward explanation about the installation of the pig cam.

Please don't think for a moment that the many hours (actually days and weeks) that you and your fellow volunteers contribute are not truly appreciated by the webcam viewers all over the globe. You are a gift to us all! :loveshower:

Webmaster has forwarded this from Mr. LK, in response to questions about why webcam viewing and daily feeding occurs only in winter weather.

The situation varies in different countries.

By count in the last spring in Estonia were living about 24,000 boars. That means the population here is 2/3 bigger than it should be. It has been reason for large damage to the fields. Theoretical calculation has exposed that in the next year population of boars may double in the case of warm winter and without hunting. At present, in Estonia is proposal to prohibit the feeding of boars and it is regarded as irrational action before the ground is frozen.

This is such good news! The "pig cam" is so great for me because I can watch in the afternoon/evenings when most of your are sound asleep and all the other cams are dark! :loveshower:

I don't wish to speak to the recent controversy here, I was not part of it and it serves no purpose to further it..

What I would like to say is that I enjoy and appreciate every aspect of the cams and this forum.

Urmas and his team work tirelessly as volunteers to set up, service, repair and operate the various cams.... and not just for our pleasure, but also the invaluable research that they are gathering. I think we should trust them to know how, when and where they should be activated. Remember, this forum and these cams are here for us, at absolutely no cost!

Conversely, Jo and the other moderators worked tirelessly to set up this wonderful forum where we can gather, exchange views, opinions, observations and watch these beautiful birds and animals .... again as volunteers, again adding new topics that catch our interest, helping us with technical questions, and expanding our knowledge of many new languages. And again, at no cost to any of us.

So if I may add a purely personal message here, to Urmas.... thank you for all your efforts and bringing these wonderful glimpses of nature at its purest to us...

And to Jo, thank you for giving us this marvelous forum where we have made new friends and shared the bond of the love of nature all around the world.
