Lol, ladies! :rotf:

The squirrel is just amazing, so healthy and brave and beautiful!

Olga, are you two friends or is this secret koala very afraid of you? What do your dogs think of him/her visiting your garden?

Hi, Visitor  My dogs don't like squirrels, but they let them climb to feeder throught the roof! I have put an additional 'tree' against the wall close to the feeder. I have not tried to go too close to them, be cause they seem to be rather shy.

Hi, Olga! :loveshower:

The squirrels must be very happy to have you taking care of them! Is the feeder especially for them?

I was asking because we have had quite a lot of squirrels here in Tallinn some time ago - not sure about them now, maybe they are still around, just I haven't seen any - they were pretty brave and used to people, came to eat from hand.

Visitor, it is for little birds. All kind of tits come to eat there, - I have seen Great tits, Willow tits, Crested tits and what was it.. kuusitiainen, looked at dictionary: Musttihaned, Coal tits, and also Woodpeckers. I guessed that squirrels will come too. Birds let squirrels eat in peace, but not other way round. There is always someone! But not when it is dark.

10th October, some snow fall, but not that much as the weather broadcast warned, 30 cm - reality is that there was 1-2 cm snow fall.

Wonderful photos, Olga, thank you very much for sharing it: it looks cute, that squirrel!

I didn't ask , but hope, you will not say NO: I copied your squirrel for my screen-background. So it sits there almost as big as in life, when I open my Mac. You live in a nice place with wood around the house? No wonder you like animals so much and that they like you!

That last one with the bird (a great tit?) and the squirrel is really amazing -- but you are just great at capturing your squirrel.

Thanks, Alice :wave. The feeder is just behind my work room window. If I had more patience I could take some pics of the visiting birds too - but I should wash the window glass first.
Yes, it was brave a Great tit:

 Hello, friends of Finnish squirrels! Yesterday the Squirrels were on the feeder eating the fat ball and I got several photos. This is a story of the fat ball and how it disappeared in one hour or less :D

the 30th November early in the morning there was some Blue tit looking at the tasty fat ball.

Image

But soon came a squirrel. This one I have not seen every day, he has bigger ear tassels than the little squirrel I have seen there almost every day.

At last it was disturbed by something...

- What was that noise!

The first squirrel vanished and the Blue tit came instead. But then everything happened quite fast. Soon there was the short ear tassel squirrel, and the first one just looked when the fat ball begun to deminish.

Sorry, the pictures could be lesser.. :puzzled:

Image

Are you going to eat it alone?

Image

-Yes, I am hungry.

The little squirrel handled cleverly the ball, without any problem.
