It is not extensive woodland but a varied landscape, with lots of agricultural land.Bea wrote:I am not daydreaming, no? I can hear the *baah-määäähhh* of sheep in a distance![]()

Around 13:45 the volume suddenly dropped down. Much too soft now.
Earlier this morning it also happened, but only for a short time.

Can someone please identify the bird singing near the nest? It's a very clear sound, with various short tunes that repeat. So beautiful, but I can't tell birds apart by their sounds...
A blackbird or nightingale maybe?

I think maybe it's Song Trush (Turdus philomelos). If it's the same bird that is singing now, at 20:27. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong.

@ Hellum.
I'm not sure but this morning I heard a noise. See my video earlier today.
It could be that he did not come to the nest but first waits for a partner but is nearby?
would it be possible?

He was so quick that one could not get sharp pictures of him ....

We´ll se whether he was so scared that he will not return or will come over this shock ...

Well, the bird has a metal ring on the right leg and to me it looks like there is something on the back, the new sender is smaller and has no antenna. Guess plastic rings can fall off.
It was said that his mate 2016 had no rings, no ring at all or?
