Thank you, Liz for the pictures and video clips of the hard working Black stork couple!
They are amazing!
Listen to me, all watchers: Thumbs up and fingers crossed, please, that everything goes fine in the close future! '
Kati has been aerating the nest bottom several times during the 90 minutes I have been watching the video stream. She also scratches the head and throat feathers (or the skin) at times. She may have fleas?? Well, she will have something super presious to take care - sooner or later,...

Oh yes, exciting days approach. Saturday is day 33 of breeding since the first egg is laid on April 17th. I guess it could be worthwhile then to listen for the first egg talk. And then on Sunday, maybe only Monday, we surely see the first chick.Olga wrote: Listen to me, all watchers: Thumbs up and fingers crossed, please, that everything goes fine in the close future! '
Of course all thumbs are pushed that everything goes well! I hope for healthy and strong storklets.

Good morning to all unpatient waiters
The great day has begun
6:27 Kati just has come and asked Karl if the chick has hatched already....
(I have understood her precisely !)
edit:
Olga, thumbs up and fingers crossed ! This is a matter of honour !

Hello!
Every time before storklets due to hatch, parents start to bring moss more than usual.
