Ähm, to translate from Lativian to German with GT is mostly a "funny" thing. I always get curious storys and understand nearly nothing

It can be you saw the egg tooth. Chick need it to make a hole in the eggshell. It' a tiny thing (like a pimple  ) of especially hardened material at the tip of the beak. It disappears little by little (some days).
Pic is from another nest, you can see the egg tooths. Chick in the egg is working with it, the other one is some hours old.

The fact that Tina did not fly away from the nest to eat the fish and the fact that she didn't trust her husband the care of the eggs, tells me that Tina is an experienced mother. :D

Gavril, seems the fishtail was only not enough for Tina, with more fish it works for Teo and a rest in cozy nestbowl

16:44 Teo flies off and chick works hard at eggshell (pics endlarged)

Great photos!

How long does it normally take for the egg to hatch?
Will we see the chick today?

Jojo, sadly nobody know if we see the chick today. Sometimes it needs only few hours and sometimes more than a day to hatch. Tina is restless now, whatever it means ...
