Re: Loch of the Lowes (Scotland) Osprey
Good day!
Aila comes to the nest and starts to eat the half eaten fish from last evening. Earlier Lachlan was on the nest and eat from the fish, later he left again.
A while later Lachlan comes again to the nest and begs to Mom:"Please, Mommy feed me"
And good Mom Aila doing it.

Finally, after many hours Louis brings a big fish to his family. Mom Aila takes the fish from him, then Lachlan wants the fish and Aila gave him his fish.
Lachlan is protecting his "own" fish for Mom. This fish is only mine!
Finally Aila leaves the nest and her son has the fish alone to eat.

Lachlan is a very smart guy! He eats his fishes until a half eaten fish is finished, then he left the nest. Mostly Mom comes a bit later and starts feeding herself. But Lachlan is nearby and comes back and his good Mom is always feeding him, it makes me laugh. I have never seen this before at an osprey nest, it's so nice to watch.
These feedings hold on until the fish is gone.

This guy always makes the same play, he lets the half eaten fish alone on the nest, short time later Mom comes again and eats a bit. Later her son flies back to the nest and begs to Mom to feeding him.
And good Mom Aila does it...again.

http://tinyurl.com/yagz8cmpLoch of the Lowes: And now there are two …
Our male osprey chick, PH1, has set off on migration.
We were about to announce his departure a few days ago but then he must have popped back – now, however, we can confirm he has left Loch of the Lowes – we wish him a smooth and safe migration.
PH1 was a very noisy juvenile who could be heard by visitors as soon as they reached the car park. We thought peace would reign when he left, but no, PH2 has taken up the cry and keeps up what sometimes feels like incessant calling from the nest.
It has been noted that LM12 quite often delivers a fish to the nest around 5pm each day. The drop off of ‘supper’ can be over in the blink of an eye but for very observant webcam watchers this fleeting view of two ospreys can be seen on the webcam. So, the end of the osprey season is nearly upon us. If you are in the area you still have a chance to see them. The adult male, LM12, and PH2 are providing good sightings because PH2 spends a lot of time perched up on the trees directly opposite the hides.

Jujani, this is Aila, she is feeding her "big" baby. She does it regularly, I love it to see.
Aila and Louis are a first timer couple, they had learn much in this season. There were three chicks, but only Lachlan survived and fledged successful.
Aila is feeding Lachlan, beautiful that she is still here.

Wow, I scrolled back and could see all three together at the nest, beautiful. At first Aila comes to the nest, then Lachlan followed her with a previous half eaten fish in his claws. Both call to Louis and he brings a big fish, Aila grabs it.
