Re: Black Stork Tracks
I always listen to the voice of Urmas. As long as he has no reservations, everything is in the green area.

I do not mean that. I follow the logic, that the transmitters continue to work, even then, if the animal is dead.Solo wrote: I understand that you want to know the explanation, but everything is just speculation, we have to wait for new data or for the expert opinion.
So I think, if we receive no data from Karl it can be, that the transmitter is broken.
Such devices are all similar in construction. They differ in appearance and in the possibilities of data collection. (I'm Electrical engineers)

Birdmap shows other birds without new data, i.e.
Osprey Kalle - Congo - last data Oct. 21
(by the way : Kalle travelled 8846 km !!!!!!! )
Osprey Vadim - Sudan - last data Oct. 4
Osprey Karlis - Sudan - last data Sept. 27
Sudan seems to be a bad place for GPS. Only Sander, Greater Spotted Eagle sent data from southern North Sudan on Oct. 26
So let's hope the best and don't worry too much

Good Morning Solo, Anne and All
New Data from our missed Karl
Distance 7040km!
I'm happy and I think all other too

Karl is about 30km west of Kaduqli. Approx 200 km from the border to the southern Sudan.
He's been there for quite some time.
Karl! you made my day!
BTW: Last year, Karl was at the same place!
