I’m being told that it is Not Irma!
I thought that I saw a ring on the left leg.

yes, the earliest was the 18th, so she is "in time", but I really hope to see her soon.Chimega wrote: April 19th, 2018, 11:13 am Wasn't Irma late last year? And maybe the year before, too? Is she a late Osprey? Some are and some are always early. Do not give up hope!![]()
Mayflower wrote: April 19th, 2018, 5:13 pm I have a couple of questions regarding the nest.
What came first, the nest or the camera? :-) I mean, did they decide to put the camera where there already were a nest?
Is the nest secured in any way or is it reliable and steady from the beginning when the birds built it?
Is there any climbing help for the guys who go up there? Ropes, "stairs" or something?
How high up is the nest?
Is there a picture from the opposite direction, so you can see the camera and the camera stand?
Mayflower, you can find some answers also here viewtopic.php?p=217190#p217190Mayflower wrote: April 19th, 2018, 5:13 pm I have a couple of questions regarding the nest.
........
Jenny, when Ivo turns his back to the female and lowers his head, and spreads the wings a bit, he means to demonstrate that he is not a threat to her. This is what all osprey males do - he would also do it with Irma - especially in the beginning. This is a pose of submissiveness, deference to the female.Jenny wrote: April 19th, 2018, 5:39 pm
Sometimes the behavior is strange from Ivo. He was in the nest, the lady came flying in and Ivo showed her his back, means, don't bother me and then he jumped on her back for mating.
