@2:54
I heard sounds that seemed MUCH closer so I hung around and sure enough a raccoon dog walked on to the field. I think I saw it give a little cry but....
I will post pictures later (I need to clean up and cook before knitters arrive), but I doubt the captures will be very good -- the raccoon dog was pretty much the same colour green as the mud.
I had almost the same picture and this one
It stayed there near the mouse house for a little bit and then walked off.
I think it has a bushy tail.

did you notice that in addition to the (normal-coloured) raccoon dog you managed to capture the Moon, too, in your picture up there? it's only half-moon so far but it is very bright. that's a good shot and good luck.
now the ground is empty and silent.

now i'm really puzzled...? and amazed! i think that in Kuremari's picture can't be the Moon because there's the Moon in the picture which jml2665 captured at 2.54. this is something else.... i think it could be Venus, the evening "star". it's really a planet orbiting the Sun like our Earth.
that would be a rare capture. i'll try to check it somewhere...
yes, in the webpages of the Finnish Astronomical Association Ursa is said that Venus can be seen in the evenings in the Western sky. congratulatios Kuremari!

I was wondering about the two different moon views, but a bit more slowly

March 25th: good morning!
empty ground except some little birds which are very much the same colour as the ground: very hard to see if they don't move. the Sun is beginning to shine on the ground straight behind the camera.

here are some pictures from yesterday evening. the pigs were already there when i opened the cam but they hadn't been there for a long time yet, as the piles of grain/acorns are still untouched in the front.
at 21.16 one of the big boars (male?) decides to have a mud bath. the ground has been frozen for a long time and this is one of the first chances of taking a mud bath this spring.
it rubbed itself against the ground for a while and then rested there, lying down for some time.

The pigs here are pretty calm, unlike those in the second cam.
