The only hope is that there is a minor problem that will be fixed after the weekend. Cam 2 is still on, but even the big boars are hard to see I can hardly imagine seeing a stripey there

YIEPPIII!!! the camera is on again! :loveshower: what a relief!
Alice, i agree: i don't think it's possible to see stripies on cam2. even the hare was very difficult to see there and the fox earlier in the winter when it was lighter there with the snow. now it is so dark because the muddy ground absorbs most of the light there. i had a look there the night before and it was hard enough to see the big boars there.

this is our only chance now, and i'm hoping that the mommy will bring the piglets here before it's quite dark. let's keep our fingers crossed! or as it's said in Finnish: "peukalot pystyyn!" = "thumbs up!" :2thumbsup:

EDIT: food was brought at 18.54 (6.54 pm):

And now I am seeing only 2 but they are not touching so I am not sure it it the same two. One seems bigger than the other.

Today the other cams keep closing on me, but this one keeps playing. I just heard a very interesting bird -- wild and amazing. (probably something common but it sounded amazing)

at the moment the cam has been off-line again for maybe an hour again...? :puzzled:

Alice: i wonder what it could have been, the bird you heard in the morning...... i think i had the cam on almost all morning, but i can't remember anything wild... but i suppose most of the birds you hear here are exotic to you, just like the wildly-coloured bird you heard at home the other day and first thought you heard here... it was some sort of a thrush, too, if i remember right, but the colours were quite psychedelic compared to European thrushes.

the camera is on again! :loveshower:
it looks like the normal group of eight... no piglets...
Image
this is almost too much nerve-wrecking: trying to guess which time the cam has been finally removed or whether it will still come on-line... :slap:
who could give us some info?

there seem to be the normal group of 8 pigs munching here.
(now i understood what you meant Alice with adjusting the picture: there are controls for picture brightness and contrast etc. i can adjust them myself! how stupid i could be... :rotf: )

Image
they talking quietly to each other: grrr.. grrr.... and sometimes a bit more angry GRRH! to push away the neighbour when it comes a bit too close...
Image
there seem to be at least 9 of them...
no piglets...

ok, there were the two piggies eating first at about 17 (5 pm):
Image
these are the two who lean against each other.
Image
they had to leave because the man came to bring the evening food.
Image
he had injured his left thumb! but he seems to have it still. it could have been much worse with the circular saw...
then it took a while and the normal evening group of 8-9 piggies came and they have been munching here almost steadily ever since. i've taken some pictures but i'll post them tomorrow (overnight, you know....)
i'll be :offtobed: now, ta-taa!

two pigs eating. no piglets.
the new lakeside-scenery-board on the top of the LK-page looks too 'summery' quite suddenly...

earlier in the evening the herd of nine came almost right away after the man had been there, at 17.20 (5.20 pm):
Image
at 21.01 - 21.03 (about 9 pm ) there were two pigs. it seems that the pedestal with the salt block had been tossed over and later the pigs played kick-a-ball with it.
Image
... but right after that the bigger group. i didn't see whether the two left or did they mix..? :puzzled:
