Hi! I watch the Amur Leopard cam sometimes for half an hour and I don't get bored.
Today around 16.00 mother had trouble keeping the cubs in their room as soon as the mother had turned her back on one cub the cub ran towards the other room and so over and over again.

The same here.
Today earlier somewhere around 14.00 it seemed somebody cleaned or brought food to the next room. Darla looked there several times, backed down and covered the cubs as defending them.
Will post pictures later
Here they are:
Darla searches what is going on
Backs down to cubs
Protects them

I'm really happy to see that they are growing so fast and discovering new places(the other room:).They are so cute when they play with each other or eat teir own tails .Does anyone know who they are?Maybe brother and sister?
Darla gives them more freedom day after day but in the end she brings them back from the other room

We just know that they are litter-mates. I don't know if their gender has been noted anywhere, yet.

There is a video from the 4th May;
http://www.digisilm.ee/loomad/amur/amur ... -1730.html
Darla is already 'running' after the cubs and tries to keep them inside the den.
I think its signifys something that the cubs didn't leave the den until Darla came back inside.

Are the observations recorded there, yet? Weight, size, gender, etc?
I expect we need a translator, when it is published.

There are lots more videos in 'Archives'
I just saw a few and there are great fun to watch, these little cubs.
There is a 'sleepy-head',fatter and the other wants to play, even with Darla's tail.
The second is much more lively..I bet that's the sister. ?
Have they been named yet ?

Darla is not too happy with her cubs when they get too close to her food.

There is officially announced name´s competition.
Bigger cub is male and smaller, but more lively is female.
Suggestions have to be sent till 15.06.2010 by e mail:
zoo@tallinnzoo.ee
Or should we make our own vote and then send the best names from LKF? Just thinking...

No suggestion but I see the den is empty tonight. Matbe as the nights are warmer
they are perhaps allowed outside ?
I just watched a video from 16 May and you can see Darla introducing the cubs to meat. Showing them how to lick meat then Darla leaves them to try it.

The last few times I have looked everyone has been hiding (cubs and mother), but today one of the cubs, maybe the bigger of the two was curled in the corner cleaning his own tail.
