So these raccoon dogs have become a pest! How will Estonia deal with that, I wonder?
It's is the same here.We have about 83 thousand racoon dogs, and in springtime they are three times more (most of the young ones die in the traffic..) I have seen them walking along the little road here, two of them, side by side early in the morning. No one knows how to deal with them..Some few live near to us under an empty house. I know why a lovely bird has dissappeared from the fields near to us, the Lapwing (Vanellus vanellus), it nests on the ground.

i have no idea, but as far as i know, the hunters have the hunting license and they have somekind of quota
how many animals they can shoot.
Probably the shooting of the raccoons will just cost too much.
the raccoons are healthier than ever, because every autumn the anti -rabies vaccine is thrown from planes to the forests.

One advantage of the weather - the crows can drag their food over the ice to a quiet space to eat!!

Is every body getting an intermittent cam today?
It is buffering so badly that I couldn't get a video made of the eagles's visit!
So Frustrating!
