  • Help for authors

    Please include the place, date and time of day of your sightings when submitting your records.
    If possible, add details like weather and lighting conditions and distance from the bird.

    - You may post short results as well as whole articles. Text limit for one posting: no more than 60000 characters.
    - Maximum allowed picture size is 600 X 800 pixels, file size 256 kb.
    - Detailed observation/monitoring results are very welcome if you hold all rights and if you don´t want to publish your text elsewhere.
    - Please choose a meaningful headline that shows your subject (“printed” it in bold type), and please write in English.
    - You are not a Loouskalender forum member but want to post a report here? Join now. It takes only a few minutes.
    - Please post your article at the topic "Add a link or an article".

eBiodiversity is a web interface for the taxa found in Estonia. There are already 23390 species occurrences.

Type in the “Haliaeetus albicilla” to find species observations and:

· Placement in taxonomic system
· Protected species; Data from Estonian Red List
· Databased records on the map
· Reference data about species occurrence in Estonia
· Specimens in scientific collections
· Public gene sequences

2.Sweden: Reportsystem for Birds

How to get White-tailed Eagle observation results:

- go to http://www.artportalen.se/birds/default.asp
- click ”Show records” in dark blue menu row at top

”Search species” page:
- write “Haliaeetus albicilla” in left-hand box to ”Begins with”
- click: Search

Search result:
- click: White-tailed Eagle
- you should now see ”Your choice: White-tailed Eagle year: 2010” above the "Search species" box
- click “Present records” in pale blue menu row
- choose your favourite presentation ("Record table" is a good start)

Danish Ornithological Society and Norwegian Ornithological Society use basically the same programme for bird observation reports, with some small modifications in user layout.

White-tailed Eagle sightings in Germany:

- at the top left of the page there´s a box, containing "suche nach arten"
- overwrite the text with: Haliaeetus albicilla
- the new page shows >basisinfo >lexikon >bilder > beobachtungen >karte >auswertung in a green row
- choose >bilder to see pictures
- choose > beobachtungen to read observation details (in German)
- choose >karte to see a map
- choose >auswertung to see statistical data

For sharing own sightings you have to register.
