White-tailed Eagle diet in Estonia: "In Tiit Randla's book "Eesti röövlinnud"/"Estonian birds of prey" (1976), prey for WTE is stated to be mainly waterfowl and fish. Mammals occur too but often as carrion and in winter. From Estonia Tiit Randla mentions 5 species of fish (pike, perch, tench, crucian carp, eel - surprisingly no salmon?), 19(!) bird species, and 5 mammals (grey seal, deer, rabbit, squirrel, polecat (!))."
Find further information on eagles and the "camera breeding pair" in an Looduskalender interview with the ornithologist Tiit Randla. He´s is the best known Eagle Man in Estonia, especially as specialist on white-tailed eagles and golden eagles.
