here are two more clips which i recorded earlier today but wasn't able to upload then.
in the first ravens, crows and magpies are really having a party. the poor WTE tries to mingle in between to get a bite, too, but gets chased away by a magpie, who picks the eagle's tail. :rotf:
poor eagle...

7 minutes later the eagle tried to come back, but got cold feet and left, leaving the corvids to carry on with their feast at the carrion.

after they had left they still called a few times from the forest.
now it is gradually getting dark and it is q u i e t ! ! ! at least compared to the seal shore... :whistling: there's only a low hizzz.... schuuzzz of the wind blowing in the tree tops.
me like it! :2thumbsup:

Great news here.. :headroll: .. as usual I got here in time to hear the wind 'buzzing' in the forest. !
Thank you all for pics and videos.
In Mutiluti's last post, the third pic is so funny.. the eagle heading off with his trophy-piece of meat and all the ravens are looking sadly after it..'There goes our dinner'. :rotf:

LK front page article on cameras http://www.looduskalender.ee/node/8910
Sorry, both my computers chose today to be totally unhelpful :banghead: . Like cats, they obvioulsy know when something important is on.
Here is a rough translation - it will take at least tonght to get it up properly on front page ...

Winter white-tailed eagles camera
Looduskalender - 14 Detsember 2010 - 12:54pm
Transmision courtesy of Televõrgu AS and EENet
otsestriim/Direct stream | talvine kotka-TV/ Winter WTE TV | uudised/News | foorum/Forum
(Working links on LK front page)

We start the transmission using a Mobotix web camera. With luck, we can exchange it before New Year for a new movable camera that will make it possible to follow the action even better. A lot of splendid people have helped with the enterprise. Loodusemees.ee supports the illustrating material.

Using the WTE web player you can watch the Winter WTE camera without quitting your browser.
The webplayer can be used with Windows, Linux and Mac OS. It needs the Silverlight browser add-on, that can be downloaded from HERE, in case you don’t already have it. If watching the camera still doesn’t succeed we recommend using the VLC Player.

See what goes on!
The camera was set in place the first weekend of December, but the autumn storms had damaged the transmission setup. The camera is at present placed quite close to the ground; the initial pictures will be general overviews of the scene.

Tiit Randla is the man who takes care of the eagles' dinner table.

Your suggestions and ideas can be posted on the forum or sent to Looduskalender’s contact address.
Looking forward to your ideas and thank you in advance!

Liis, very many thanks for translating that page for us.
So sorry about your computer - they are probably the biggest cause of grey hair on the planet! Mmm - that doesn't read correctly - a grey-haired planet - perhaps not.

I'm happy to observe eagles and ravens again (and to meet the whole familiy of enthusiasts too)! Hello to you all!

And the forum shows all the interesting pics one cannot see in the live stream while working. Thanks to the relentlessly snapshooting Mutikluti and all the others, Liis for the article's translation (that's waiting for me too). The boring cam-less time is over!!!! :bounce:

Whoo-Hoo! :headroll: :loveshower:

The eagle feeding cam that I have heard so much about, is now operating! Thank you everyone for sharing pictures & video movies of the day's happenings so all of us on both sides of the world can see. Right now, of course, nothing but a black screen, but I can hear the wind in the forest trees!
