i captured another shadow of an eagle, too. this time it landed slowly on the right side of the camera at 11.44:

it's a good day for shadows. :whistling: :mrgreen:

a bit later the eagle was fishing in front of the shore an hour hour ago. i think it even caught something because after that it didn't fly around all the time as it did before this... before that there were two white splashes under the eagle which was, however, flying clearly above the water. on the third splash it seemed that the eagle touched the water and i think that was a catch. maybe on the first two times there was a seal splashing to the eagle?
starting at 11.46 ->

i guess that the floating things are pieces of ice. but they could be driftwood, too.
here the shadow of the camera has entered the picture. 8-)

January 27th: hello! :hi:
this seems to be a no-camera-work-day.... :faint:
here's the current weather data:
Image
and the forecast:
Image
the weather should be ok there... maybe the solar panels are covered by drift snow blown by the wind. the battery may be too old and tired that it can't support the camera alone without the panels recharging it all the time.

January 28th: Good morning! :hi:
the camera is not on but the text said "20s disconnected, 3rd retry" which sound actually almost promising: it's trying! :rolleyes:
... and now "too many retries". :slap:
