It is spring now
The cleanest side of the Squirrel Hill (several Hazel bushes had to been cut, partly, during winter be cause they pressed the electric lines there is some mess elsewhere)
Hepatica nobilis or Anemone hepatica in different tones. What's the name in English, Sinivuokko in Finnish (blue anemone?

In German we call them "Leberblümchen" and they are among the first flowers in spring. I remember, when I was a child, I brought my mother small nosegays with them and white anemones.
Memories ...
Today I was at the zoo and near the lynx cage I met one of our friends who was very busy bringing small twigs into a whole in the roof above the cage. He or she was very indignant as I watched him/her in his/her business and even tried to make a photo
Still, I made one:
And yes, after he/she got rid of the twig, he/she came out and started yelling at me. Have you ever heard them yelling? I guess yours are so happy with you and the ever filled feeding place, no need to yell or bluster
Greets to you

Felis, that is a good action shot!
Yes, I have heard one being angry with a cat. What a noise!
Anemone hepatica = Hepatica nobilis; Common Hepatica, liverwort, kidneywort, pennywort

Those at my office sometimes shout at the people passing if they want to pick up nuts You'll know when they are not happy!

Hi Felis silvestris, thank you for the photo of squirrel and your greeting from Germany!
I have not seen our squirrels during last days..not even one from far. But I believe they are there somewhere. Perhaps we humans and our dogs have been more walking in the surroundings, and the youngest dog is a bit jumpy, wild as away, and noisy.. and they keep hiding to protect their private life, and don't want to reveal where they spend their time in daylight, in these times.

I guess they are busy getting the drey (nest) ready for the new children like the one I saw yesterday.Olga wrote: I have not seen our squirrels during last days..not even one from far. I know that squirrels all ready have had their wedding day there up on the top of these spruces:
The nest is on the spruce top to the left:
On this spruce they like to sit and watch if the yard is empty:

Happy and Comfortable May Day Eve to all visitors!
One squirrel visited today, at 16:20. It stayed there only for five minutes. I have to say that this squirrel remionds me of the one small squirrel whom I named Baby squirrel last summer, it was very young. It has a quite big head en relation to the body, short nose.. well. I looked familiar! Anyway

oh no, I have not resized all photos, some are huge!!
But I have to go on a bit later!!
edit: all right! Some times photobucket just uploads huge photos how many times I resize them. The solution: I have to rename each photo and then do the resizing one time more
